Chocolate Mayo Cake

The easiest, 5 ingredient chocolate cake ever! It needs NO eggs, butter or oil. How you ask?? There’s a secret ingredient 🤫.... mayo. What?! Yes. Mayonnaise. And before you mayo haters start gagging, mayo is just made of oil and eggs. And it makes the cake incredibly moist in the way sour cream does. I’ve been making this cake at least 20 years. I rarely tell people the secret ingredient because people can be weird about mayo but the secret is now out! If you’ve got a jar of mayo sitting in your fridge or cupboard and flour, cocoa, sugar and baking soda, this cake can be yours. You can also make it in to cupcakes!

This layered birthday cake was made with a double recipe.
