Using ripe, juicy peaches will give you the best flavor in this frozen yogurt recipe. You can use regular whole milk yogurt or for something even creamier, use Greek yogurt. Definitely go with a full fat version here or your fro-yo will taste icy.
- Ingredients
- 3 large, ripe peaches, peeled and cut into chunks (aprox 3 cups)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 Tbs lemon juice
- 16 oz (2 cups) plain, whole milk yogurt
Method:
Put peaches, sugar, and lemon juice in blender or food processor and purée until smooth or pulse and leave some chunks if you like your fro-yo chunky.
Transfer mixture to a large bowl and add yogurt. Stir until combined. Chill the base in the refrigerator for a couple hours or overnight.
Freeze in ice cream maker according to manufacturer's directions. Serve immediately or for a firmer texture transfer to a container and store in the freezer.
Makes 2 pints.
